  Top 20 Players of 1920 APFA Season I'm starting a new project on this blog. I'm attempting to compile a list of the top 20 players of each season of professional football. The idea is that if we can get a snapshot of the best players year by year, it will allow us to value each season equally when comparing players across eras. The information we have available for the entire decade of the 20's is very limited. We can scrounge up enough information through partial box scores, All-Pro teams and football folklore to make an educated guess about who the top 20 players were for the season. 01. In the NFC Championship game this past Sunday, Aaron Rodgers failed his team. He failed to be flawless. If you listen to the mainstream media or even the postgame press conferences you will hear a consistent narrative that Rodgers wasn't good enough. He is charged with the following crimes: - Throwing an interception. - Hanging onto the ball too long. - Not throwing to Davante Adams on a free play. - Concentrating too much on Davante Adams. - Not running for a TD on 3rd and goal. - Failing to beat Tom Brady. Clearly he is guilty on all counts. Let's take these charges one at a time. He did throw an interception, albeit his opponent Tom Brady threw 3 interceptions. Somehow the narrative is that Brady's ability to win games where he throws 3 interceptions is a mark of how great he is. This is one of the most illogical things I have ever heard.
